Solid Waste Management Plan

The solid waste program is here to help with your hazardous waste and recycling needs. Since 1994, Washington citizens have generated over 156 million tons of solid waste, roughly equivalent to the amount of solid waste discarded in the United States in one year.  In 2007, a total of 9,867,059 tons was disposed.  Whenever possible, we hope to assist you in finding alternate, less hazardous materials for your needs, safer disposal for the hazardous waste you already have, and increase the recycling opportunities available to residents in Pacific County.

If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please call either of the numbers listed above for assistance.

The links in the left column provide detailed information on different programs within the Solid Waste Program.

RECYCLE BINS LOCATIONS

There are many recycle bin locations throughout the County. Those locations include: South Bend, Naselle, Chinook, Ilwaco & Long Beach. Please click on the recycle brochure attached below for specific addresses.

Remember:

DO NOT LITTER at these recycle bins! If we run into problems of littering like we have in the past, the recycle bins will again be in jeopardy and may be removed. This includes hanging your bags of recyclables on the outside of the bins. You must place the recyclables IN the bins, not hanging on the outside, on the ground or around the bins. If that occurs, it then become trash and scatters in the weather or from animals.

Please call our office at 360-875-9356 or 360-642-9356
if you have questions regarding this matter.
